On 16 May 2018 Storm, along with other Faculty of Geosciences associations, took part in the Mapathon Missing Maps 2018. This project was a collaboration between the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap team. The goal was to locate and map possible high-risk locations around the world that were not yet on the radar. Through the use of satellite images, all participants were able to highlight vulnerable areas. Mapping these areas results in a more efficient humanitarian aid. It also makes it easier for first responders to assess the impacts of natural disasters, as well as reaching people in need.
