COVID-19 protocol Storm introduction period 2020
Dear first year bachelor and master students,
We are keen to meet as many of you as possible in Storm’s introduction weeks! However, since the COVID-19 pandemic is still very present, we must do this in a different form than we are used to. Therefore, this page informs you of the COVID-19 protocol for the introduction period 2020 of Storm.
Storm strictly follows the rules as posed by the Dutch health authorities (RIVM).
The general rules are as follows:
If you show any symptoms stay at home and get tested. Symptoms include a cold, coughing, a temperature/fever and/or sudden loss of taste or smell.
Keep 1.5 meter distance from others.
Wash and disinfect your hands often, don’t shake hands and cough/sneeze in your elbow.
For the introduction period there are additional rules:
Physical activities end at 22:00 at the latest and alcohol is prohibited.
Physical activities are study-related or informative in nature.
Most activities will be online.
All offline activities are approved by the municipality of Utrecht and Utrecht University, and will guarantee compliance with all RIVM measures.
If you have visited a red zone, we strongly advise you to not come to the physical introduction activities.
When you are joining a physical activity, you will have to subscribe via the Storm website or via the mentor of your introduction group (bachelors). If you have subscribed to an activity but are showing symptoms, we expect you to stay home and inform us about your absence. By joining the activity you accept that we will use your contact details for contact investigation if necessary. If you have joined a physical activity and show symptoms within 14 days after this activity, we expect you to contact us about this.
For all COVID-19 related issues:
Bachelor students can contact Marieke Wennemars (+31 6 81 63 27 70 or firstname.lastname@example.org)
Master students can contact Inge Ossentjuk (+31 6 37 19 82 08 or email@example.com)
We really understand that this is not the introduction period you hoped for. However, we aim to provide you with the best possible alternative to the traditional introduction period! Therefore we ask you to follow these rules very strictly! Please, do not meet up with your group in real life beside the organised activities. We hope to see you in the introduction period!
