Lunch Lecture Deltares
On the 31st of March, Storm is excited to welcome Kim Gommans from research institute Deltares, who will take us on a journey into the world of (ground)water quality, salinity, and Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
Kim will share how she works at the intersection of research, policy and practice. In her work, she explores how (poor) water quality affects our landscapes and how monitoring helps us understand the dynamics and take the right measures to improve water quality. From fieldwork in muddy streams to analysing data using a coding language, her work shows how practical research supports a more resilient future.
Expect a session with practical insights, real‑world challenges, and a peek behind the scenes of what your work can look like after you’ve graduated.
Whether you're curious about hydrology, environmental data, or just want to know what a career at Deltares can look like — come join this Lunch Lecture!
