We are proud to present our year as the XXXIIIrd Board of Storm, Lutum. First and foremost, we would like to thank everyone who helped make this year so special. Your enthusiasm and support have been invaluable in organising many amazing events and weekends throughout the year.

Reflecting on our Board year, we are proud of the structural improvements we implemented within the association. One of our key initiatives was the launch of the Committee Clash, starting with the first edition of the now-annual Committee Tournament. We believe this has strengthened the sense of community within Storm, and it was wonderful to see so many members showing enthusiasm and committee pride during these friendly challenges.

This year also marked the formalisation of Societies, through the approval of the Society document. It is exciting to see that, only a year later, a society has already been established. Another long-anticipated milestone was the establishment of the Club van Vuuren (CVV), which has helped us better manage time pressure during General Meetings. In addition, we contributed to improving the Board workload, installing the first DIES committee, coordinating the work of confidants, and refining the procedures for handling confidential reports and privacy-related matters within the association.

Many events have been organised throughout the year, starting off with a successful introduction week in collaboration with the university, welcoming all the first years (both from the bachelor’s and the master’s programs) to Utrecht and to Storm. We hammered in 24 committees during the General Meeting, and soon after, we celebrated the 32nd birthday of Storm during our DIES in December with the theme Elemental. This included volunteer work, the DIES party, ice skating, a cantus, a weekend excursion, a career symposium and the Dinner & Show.

We also organised many career and educational events. For example, a staff-student panel, Friends & Family Day, Active Bystander Training, Effective Leadership Workshop, Career Fair, Alumni Evening, Exploring Journeys of Change with Detlef van Vuuren and Klaas van Egmond, Road to Brussels about the European Parliament, Mining Our Way Out of the Climate Crisis symposium, Boat Network Borrel, In-House Day, many Lunch Lectures, and the first ever Initiative Market with a dozen different organisations and Lizet Meddens of Fossielvrij NL.

We were also present at many different events from the university, such as the Bachelor and Master graduations of our programmes, PhD defences and the orations from both Karin Rebel and Floor Avelino. We were also present at the Dies Natalis of Utrecht University and were proud to lay down a krans during the Dodenherdenking together with our faculty.

At the end of the year, we were also able to collect €6513,- for our Kolokolo charity, Merazonia, a dynamic wildlife rehabilitation centre located in Ecuador. It has been an incredible experience to lead and grow during our board year. We would like to thank all our members for their trust, support and energy that truly made this year unforgettable. It has certainly been a year to remember, and we will cherish it for many years to come. We loved being your Board, thank you for this amazing year! :)
