At this moment I am the CEO of Milieudefensie, which is an NGO working on sustainability in the Netherlands. In my daily work I am concerned with various campaigns that have the goal to make the world a more sustainable one. Our campaigns aim to create awareness about the impact people and organisations have on our environment. I think it is very important that not only NGOs make a case for a better environment, but other organisations should also emphasize the importance of sustainability. That is the reason why I think it is very good that study associations like Storm exist. They help to engage the next generation in one of the worlds biggest problems. We need to change our behaviour to make sure that future generations can enjoy the same quality of life as we did. Younger generations will play a crucial role in this transition towards a sustainable world. When we cooperate with each other we can successfully reach this target!
