Confidants
A confidant is a trustworthy person within Storm that can be contacted at all times to seek help, in the first place when members experience problems within the association, but also for personal situations, if the member feels the need for this. The main tasks of a Confidant is to offer a listening ear to members and refer them to facilities that can provide aid and support. A confidant has a duty of confidentiality. Storm has two confidants: Tara and Mila. They have received training on how to fulfil the role of confidant. More information can be found in the Confidant’s Code of Ethics.
Current Confidants:
Hi! My name is Tara and I’m in my second year of GSS. I’m an active stormer: this year I’m doing the lustrum committee and will be coming to many events and parties! I like hanging out with friends and doing creative things like DIY or cooking/baking.
If you have experienced anything unpleasant regarding inappropriate behavior or feel troubled by something, please do not hesitate to come talk to either me or Mila. Together we can decide what could be the best next step. We are here to listen and support you and hope to help you in the best way possible!
Hey! My name is Mila, and I am currently in my second year of GSS. You may have already seen me at a few storm parties, in the storm room, or at other storm activities. Besides Storm events, you can often find me at Olympos where I play tennis or at my local hockey club. I love music, especially indie, rock, or old classics like the Beatles or Fleetwood Mac. If you encounter or experience any transgressive behaviour within the association, or even when something isn’t sitting right with you, feel free to contact me or Sophie. We hope that we can make you feel seen and heard, and that we can make your time in GSS easier and free of any problems!
